For anyone interested, it's Klausjagen in Kussnacht am Rigi tonight, quite a sight to behold and worth a trip if you're in the area.

It's a procession, first guys with whips, guys with illuminated cathedral hats, St. Nick makes an appearance and hands out sweets to the kids, followed by a couple of thousand bell ringers. (My description does it no Justice). Hot beverages (Alcoholic and non Alcoholic) and snacks are sold from stalls on the side, then bars are open all night for further partying.

Thanks for the heads up. If you've never been, then definitely go. It's a sight to behold. Please dress warmly and be ready to fight the crowds. And don't stand too close to those men with the whips!

Hi , I'm planning on going tonight ... but trying to get there with the least amount of changing between buses , trams & trains . Would anyone have any idea what's the easiest route there from Zurich HB .... how about the boat ... would you know of exact times it leaves from Burkliplatz ???
Any help would be greatly appreciated .... going alone & wouldn't want to get lost .

I think you have the wrong 'Küssnacht' and the wrong lake! The Küsnacht on Lake Zürich is Küsnacht. The 'Rigi' Küssnacht is on Lake Lucerne!
