Yes.. back in Ireland Taxi prices are " ok " compared to here..

I thought Ok great now i can actually not spend much. Total price for two people only hand luggage including taxes came up to 385francs

All airlines are like that, you'd be amazed how much taxes are added at the end..

We are actually looking to go to Dublin later in the year... But these prices are still about 1/2 of the standard airfare from what I was able to find for this time of year.... So still a good deal... (I think..)

This deal is good up to the end of May. And to counter it, Swiss are offering Dublin as one of their "last minute" deals this week - return, including baggage (and a snack) for CHF 189. Works on various days in May.

My trip home for the first weekend (Whit) in June is going to cost me about 500 with Aer Lingus.

Or should I say, my desired trip would have cost me...

I may have to have a close look. Dublin is one of my top favourite cities. And Aer Lingus my favourite airline. Went to the USA four times, first via Aer Lingus, second time via KLM, third time Aer Lingus, 4th time Swissair. Aer Lingus is (was) the best !

Be aware that Aer Lingus adds a lot of little fees in the end, even after the price said "includes all fees & taxes" there were still more fees. I believe you even have to pay for an advance seat assignment if you wanted one. Anyway, you may be fine with that, but just so you know.

I had a great time in Dublin and Northern Ireland.

Ryanair / Aer lingus, No difference. By the time you have finished paying extra for using a credit card, luggage, airport tax etc. etc. you'll be regretting it.

We took Aer Lingus to Dublin a year ago. Total and utter rip-of - the tickets ended up costing massively more, there was no service on the plane (even had to pay for water), 2-hour delay. We paid almost 800 Fr. for two return-tickets. Should have used Ryanair for half the price :-/

I need to travel to Dublin (from Zurich) at the end of November but the current Aer Lingus timetable only runs until 27th October.

Does anyone know if this route only run seasonally in past years?

Or is it just a question of time before they release the new timetable?

I know Swiss also operate the route but the Aer Lingus flight times are alot better...

Really? We have just booked for March 9-12 and the flights are around 130CHF each including the ludicrous 18CHF booking fee!
