Without getting into my personal situation too much, and realizing while I make this post that I could have found a more affordable price a month or so ago, 4 months ago I was looking, does any one know any good links for international airfare?

I am looking to depart from any of the following...Marseille, Nice, Geneva, Milan or the like, to Detroit in the 2nd 2 weeks of August. All the rates are well above 3000 CHF for 1 adult and 2 children, and I would like to pay less; if it is at all possible now.

Believe me, if you have another suggestion to the 100 plus links I have already looked at, it's more then welcome. Thank you in advance.

I have found flights from Geneva to Detroit starting at a little over 700 euro, when flying on 10 Aug and returning on the 31st

I was thinking of going to China for a break in autumn.

Swiss Airlines are now flying there and have an opening offer to Beijing of 1099 CHF!

Lufthansa have an offer for the same flight (also from Basel) for 500 CHF.

Now, I wonder where I'll book ....

try to fly from frankfurt. it's not far on the train which goes directly into the airport and you get the benefit of the low euro rate.

The deals from Germany to US are much cheaper. You can check out first on skyscanner.de. Use Stuttgart, Munich, Frankfurt Airport.

Also www.ltur.de have fixed date flights to US. Check the Flüge section there & select Langstrecke.

Also swoodoo.de is good for comparing prices.
