Sorry, I am not familiar with it but my immediate answer would be 'probably not'.

Re: Les Gorges du Durnand...

How young is young? It wouldn't be suitable for small toddlers, or prams.

Includes steps and wooden bridges. It is 1 km long with 200m rise and includes 330 steps and overlooks 14 waterfalls. Lasts about 1 hour with possible return via a footpath in the woods.

Re: Les Gorges du Durnand...

I've been there many years ago. There are a LOT of stairs, it's slippery and narrow. Thus not suitable at all for young kids (under 8 or so I'd say).

Very impressive sight in there, feeling like your stuck to the rock looking at cascading and rushing water way below you...

Re: Les Gorges du Durnand...

Confirming what Odile and Nicolaschulz said... definitely not for the very young. I have been there and, although there are handrails to hold on to all the way along, some of the stairways are steep and above a big drop. Even adults with vertigo would not like it.

I went with my daughter who was 10 at the time, and she loved it - all depends what you mean by young i suppose.

(Edit - posted simultaneously with Mélusine, sorry)
