Hi,

Anybody heard of the Dittingen Flugtage (Dittingen Airshow 2011), and if so any ideas how it works, and how to get there from Basel. I got confused with the information on the site about postbuses etc, and do these cost with a U-Abo and Halbtax card.

If I go, will be taking lots of water, forecast for 34C and sunny!

Are you still in Maccelsfield?

Take your Halbtax Karte and your Abo. Ask if they are valid.

Take S3 at 07:37 from Basel SBB platform 16 to Zwingen station,
arrive Zwingen at 07:58

then take Post bus at 08:03 to Nenzlingen, arrive 08:09

Wait 14 minutes,

take Post bus at 08:23 to Dittingen Dorf, arrive 08:43
(Don't get off at Dittingen Post)

then walk 13 minutes to the airfield. Flying starts at 9 am.

I have sent the organisers an E-Mail asking where is the airfield, and could sombody show you the way at 08:43 on Sunday morning.

We just got back..utterly brilliant. (and roasting)

We were there too - just down the road for us - brilliant day out, we all had so much fun - the boys (age 7 & 4) loved it. All of us utterly nackered from the heat and I'm slightly pink despite serious suncream but great day all the same.

It's on every 2 years so next one is in 2013 - we'll be there
