Driving Zurich to Paris for w/e 30.09 or 07.10

Hello All,

Just wondering if anyone is driving from Zurich (or somewhere else nearish) to Paris (Fri 30.09-Sun 02.10 OR Fri 07.10-Sun 09.10 or Mon 10.10) and would welcome two friendly driving companions (M, F in 20's, one rucksack each) willing to split the costs?

Small chance, but thought I should ask before we fork out for flights Thanks.

Did you check the train? As an example, 2/10 on the TGV is running 122 CHF/person (assuming you have a 1/2 fare card), opposed to the 600+ for the nonstop flight.

We do have 1/2 fare cards, had a look at the train, it was 250CHF each for the dates we want, flying is 240CHF with airfrance.

Had a look at blablacar carsharing site..nothing up there yet....

Heard rumours that booking with the French or German rail companies can be cheaper, so going to ring them tomorrow, as it didn't seem possible to get prices online....watch this space
