I'm gonna spend few months in Lugano and I hope to get the best out of this city while I'm here. As I am a dancer I'm interested in finding a dance studio/school that offer adult classes in different styles like ballet, jazz, hiphop, latin. I have found three studios from the internet: Paso Adelante, Stardance Studio and Dance Art School. I'm looking forward to getting some insight about these studios from people who are familiar with them. Also, if there are places that I have not discovered yet, don't hesitate to let me know

I would also love to know the best place to take italian lessons for english speakers with a reasonable price and good quality.

And maybe some nice cafe's or gathering places/events for young international people If there are any..

Hi there! You may want to give a try to Scuola Club Migros, both for dancing classes and an Italian course. It's usually cheaper than other private schools (because it is partially funded by Percento Culturale Migros) but the quality of tuition is very good.

They have a rich offer of dancing classes, like zumba, Latin, tango, bellydancing, hip hop etc... As for Italian classes, they offer both private lessons or group lessons.

The school is in via Pretorio 15 (Lugano, town centre), on the 4th floor of the big Migros building. (You can't miss it. )

Hi! I did 8 weeks of intensive course at Scuola Club Migros and I'm very happy about it! Teachers are great, groups are small and it is indeed cheaper then the other schools... .
Hoping to find a good danceschool as well. Since I'm intrested in oriental dance, I'll probably try http://www.yabalady.com.
