We are driving from Basel to the Dolomiti on Friday (21 Oct) and are looking at 2 routes - the motorway through Austria or the scenic route via Klosters/Davos towards Bolzano, IT.

The weather reports and webcams show that the sceninc route had snow last night.

It would be great if someone in the area could let us know the conditions of the roads around the Davos area. We have our Austrian Vignette so can take the motorway but we'd prefer the mountain views. We are leaving Basel about 7:30am and have plenty of time so the only concern with the scenic route is safety and making sure the roads are open.
