Just got back after a lovely few hours here, saw the wolves, wild pigs, wild cats, had our lunch at the cafe sitting outside in the sun!
We should have allowed ourselves more time as we weren't able to see everything, so we're planning another trip soon and making a full day of it.
Thanks so much for telling us about the Wildnis park, it really is worth a visit, there was lots for children to see and do and for us adults too.
Update..
We've been back again to the Widlnis park, twice this week!
We were there on Sunday and walked a different route which meant we saw a lot more of the park and the animals, loved the moose and actually caught sight of a red fox. It was very busy though so, nothing against children and families or anything, but we went back on Tuesday and had an even greater day.
It was cold and misty, very atmospheric, and this time, possibly because it was quiet, we were almost within touching distance of the bears and then spent quite a while watching the lynx. It was amazing, especially wonderful to see a young lynx having fun, chasing its mum and attempting to climb a tree. A bowl of tomato soup and a beer rounded the day off nicely before we headed back to the train. I'd recommend the park to anyone with a love of animals and the outdoors.

Re: Visiting Zurich Zoo

We are members of the zoo but have never heard of Wildnispark Zürich, Langenberg. Thanks for the tip! We are going to check it out this weekend.

We printed out a plan of the park before we went, which we found useful, wear walking shoes too.
