Find a bunch of American women and watch them swoon over your buddy's accent.
Seriously, when it comes to a British accent, American women are so gullible.

Luv the responses, particularly the idea to visit Lucerne and see some castles, plus picking up a good fondue somewhere.
Keep up the ideas and the stereotyping I'm loving it!

| | | Re: How to Entertain a Brit? | Quote: | | | | | Exactly. Brits fall into places after enough beer. | | | | | Absinthe works much better! How about a visit of distilleries in the Val-de-Travers. Two of them are just metres form the railway station in Motiers (NE), and with a great restaurant int he middle (Auberge des Six Communes) with an excellent champagne producer (Mauler) just the other side.
I can organise visits in English for small groups.

As mentioned above, the entertainment depends a lot on the age of the Brit in question:
18 - 25: Beer, pub crawl (English bars especially), more beer, kebab
26 - 40: Beer, quick look at some older parts of town, especially the pubs, some more beer, fondue - then some more beer.
41 - 60+: Alcoholic coffee, lake/river cruise or walk around old town/castle area (plus beer or alcoholic coffee), fondue plus wine (or beer), a few beers down the pub, back home for some whisky. Or beer.
You get the picture.
