Probably wise. All else apart, the pistes, groomed or not, are not really suitable for the cruisy type of skiing I'm inferring you like - yes, they are steep, not always groomed, and tend towards the challenging. Of course, for many folk there, they're basically just a means of getting around between bits of real skiing.

i dont ski....

however of course its a lot nicer to be on smooth piste rather than something thats been hammered for many days, have no issue with challenging, just crap piste for premium prices. there are many places that provide better conditions
