Hotel with fireplace?

I am looking for a hotel suite/cottage with fireplace in the living room (not in my bedroom!) or at the lounge in Europe. It seems to be so hard to find one!
It has to be one that the woods are nicely cut up for me..

Any ideas?? I have been looking for something like this for a year now and always hit a road block. Would like to have one for next year Christmas..

Thanks!

Re: Hotel with fireplace?

You mean in the room or in the common areas?

Re: Hotel with fireplace?

Ok
I know a couple of hotels in Cyprus that have a fireplace in the lounge but they definitely are not what you call intimate

Re: Hotel with fireplace?

Have you Googled
hotel suite fireplace Switzerland?

I did and found this.

The Mont Blanc Garden Suite says - As dramatic as its name suggests, the Mont Blanc Garden Suite has one bedroom, a dining room, Jacuzzi and even a fireplace.

I didn't bother to look at the price as Modding on here doesn't pay very well.

Re: Hotel with fireplace?

www.edelweiss-rigi.ch

Only accessible by mountain railway. During the winter months frequently basking in blue skies above the clouds. Delicious food. Snow (just about!) and fireplace in a couple of the bedrooms. Ask when you book.

That do you?

PS A lot of the bedrooms have been redone and the website really should be updated as it is not doing it justice. It is not fancy luxury, but it is comfortable, cosy mountain style, with a very warm welcome and at a really affordable price .. particularly the weekend offers and the half board.

Re: Hotel with fireplace?

How about Tuscany? Check this place, all the apartments have fireplaces I think. The suites over the restaurant are beautiful but not sure about fireplaces. Big old fireplace in lounge/restaurant area- and fabulous views, with a spa in the next village (Fonteverde Spa - which is part of the leading Hotels of the World). It is in the less touristy part of Tuscany, south of the beautiful towns of Pienza and Montepulciano, and north of Orvieto.

Just check with them - reception staff all speak English - owners live on site (it was Enrica's family farm). The restaurant is beautiful and excellent Tuscan food. Send pm for more detail if interested.
