The sticker is available at TCS but takes about 10 working days, so it's too late now. Penalty is a EUR 40 fine and one point against your license in Germany (18 points = loss of license)

Re: Green Zone in Germany????

Wow. I didn't even know such a thing existed. Does this include driving into the zone at all? Or just parking? Clearing it effects tourist too, right?

Thanks for the info. Munich was at the top of the list of my first trips once we get back to CH.

Re: Green Zone in Germany????

There are several low-emission zones in Europe. Without the appropriate sticker you risk a fine and/or points when entering the zone. Applies to tourists as well.

Hmmm, they really need to employ a better graphics artist to do their signs

Re: Green Zone in Germany????

Any garage in Germany can issue you one. I got mine from The FIAT garage in Lörrach. Take the car papers with you. You could park in Pasing or Laim and take a taxi.

Re: Green Zone in Germany????

You can order it from Tüv Süd http://www.tuev-sued.de/auto_fahrzeu...akette_ausland
I got one from them for Easter, and it was in my Mailbox ca. 3 days after I ordered it, andf without going to a garage in Germany. Obviously too late for you, when you go tonight/tomorrow, but might be useful to know for other members.

Doc.

Re: Green Zone in Germany????

How do you know which cars are OK? Or do you need the car tested? I can't figure that out.

Test not necessary for foreign registered cars. They ask for a copy of your registration papers, which you can email.
I have a feeling, they just hand them out to foreigners, if your car is new enough, as my car is energy efficiency G, and I still got the green sticker.

Re: Green Zone in Germany????

Hi all,

I have ordered mine here: https://www.berlin.de/labo/kfz/diens...te.shop.en.php

And for my petrol car (2009) this sticker (Umweltplakette/Feinstaubplakette) looks like a stupid joke as they give green sticker away to all petrol cars first registered since 1993(!).

Re: Green Zone in Germany????

I got mine from the above link about 3 weeks ago. Scanned and uploaded my registration docs and paid EUR 5 by credit card online. Green sticker was in my mailbox after 4-5 days. Easy-peasy.
