Would like to take my 2 kids for snowboarding(beginner) and skiing(beginner). Is Kandersteg a good place? If anyone has any personal experience it would be helpful for us to plan.

I have run out of options for accommodation in most places(unlike the Swiss we book last minute )

Kandersteg is a very good place to start - we went there 2 years ago in March as a beginner (I'm 60) and were very impressed - visit the Ski Schule in the town and you should end up at Oeschinensee...there is a webcam you could look at meantime
