Re: My son is coming to stay and wants to go up a mountain......

When are they going to be here?

I was looking at the weather forecasts for Engelberg for example (which is where I take my summer visitors who want to go up a mountain and/or see snow) and the maximum at the top on Sunday is forecast to be -24. Tomorrow, maximum -15 (I'm going snowboarding). So rug up! If it's not sunny, chances are you will see little, too.

On my first ever trip to Switzerland I was taken to Alpgschwänd. It's on the side of Pilatus near Hergiswil and is best accessed by gondola. I had excellent raclette and älpermagronen. I didn't see the views as I went at night, but judging by the pictures on the website they look good!
