| | | Weekend trips by car around Zurich
Thank you again for an amazing forum.
Would like to know of places around Zurich to visit and perhaps spend a night or two. Including places in Germany, Austria, France and Italy. This is for a family and we plan on driving.
Cheers!

Cheers! | | | | | Depends on what you're interested in, of course, but! Recently, we have spend one-day and overnight trips in: Gruyeres (CH), Salzburg (Austria), Murren (CH), Bellinzona (CH), Lugano (CH). I also went to Dresden in Germany, which I thought was amazing - that should realistically be looped into a longer trip if driving there. have fun!
(I trained to all these places - but I'm sure driving works, except to Murren)

1) Take map
2) Set compass to 300km
3) Draw circle round Zurich
4) Write down the cities/area you see
5) Google cities/areas for things to do
Strasbourg, Heidelberg, Munich, Stuttgart, Salzburg, Konstanz, Graubunden, Ticino, Milan, Como, Asti, Monaco, Geneva, Grenoble, Lyon, Dijon (Cote d'Or) - and that is without the rest of Switzerland!!!

Perhaps take an extra day off and travel farther for e.g.?
cheers!

It's a long(er) journey but we did Venice from Central Switzerland in the car. Parked in a huge car park on the outskirts of Venice just over the bridge then got a water bus right to St Mark's Square. Spent a wonderful few days there with the family.

cheers! | | | | | Go to Budapest, in the summer. Amazing city, beautiful and rich in history. Long drive, but it would be worth it.

Combine a visit to "Europa Park Rust" with a nice stay in Alsace.

A tour including Europapark is a good idea, though, I believe Europapark ( www.europapark.de) is closed for the moment.
