My company's CFO just informed me that he'll be in the city all day tomorrow and would like to take a day trip outside of Zurich. Does anyone have any suggestions on quaint swiss cities to visit within 2 hours of Zurich? Luzern is an idea but where else??

At 12 midday everyday there is the Mittagsschif which departs from the boat quai just in front of the railway station. It does a round trip for approximately 2 hours (although you can also get off at intermediate stations) and serves lunch - set menu for around 25 Chf or menu. It's a great way to travel further down the lake whilst eating lunch in lovely surroundings and with sumptious views. I think that would earn you brownie points with the CFO
