Swimming pool suitable for baby's

Hi All

Can anyone recommend a swimming pool in or around the Zurich area suitable for 2 young kids. My first son is 2 years old and my second son is 8 months. I am coming from the Rapperswil area so the closer the better :-)

Thanks

Chris

Re: Swimming pool suitable for baby's

I know that Mannedorf Hallendbad (indoor swimming pool) has half the pool (the shallow kids side) heated a lot hotter on Thursday afternoon.

This is good for babies and those squeamish about splashing about in cold water.

Cost 7 CHF for adult (if you dont live in Mannedorf) and free for the babies. Excellent change rooms.

There is also a very shallow baby wading pool your 2 yo will love. It has toys to play with and a small slide.

This place is good http://www.zollikon-info.ch/badeanlagen/

Ignore the outside pic, there is also an inside place, a tunnel slide for you and the 2 year old. Its in Fohrbach which is between Rapperswil and Zurich.

I always find it tough alone with my 2 and a half year old so I hope you have back up.

Uh, How about the hallenbad (swimming hall) in Rapperswil/Jona? I don't know if they are any good because I've never been but I have a friend with a son as old as mine (almost 2) and she lives in Rapperswil. She even did a swim course with her baby in Rapperswil. Have you tried the pool(s) there?

Here is a link from the best swim site in Switzerland ... it lists all swimming halls and outdoor pools in Switzerland. This is the link for swimming halls in Rapperswil-Jona. Good luck

Re: Swimming pool suitable for baby's

There is a heated one near where I live. Waidbad. It's 32 C and has a family session every sunday afternoon.
I think it's great, only problem I have is getting my 3 3/4 out again after 2 hours.......
