Traveling to Switzerland this summer!!

Hi,
I'm looking into a trip to Switzerland in the summer of 2008. I am wondering what attractions there are around Zurich. Also, how far away is Lake Como from Zurich? I believe it borders Italy and Switzerland. What is the climate like in Zurich in the summertime? And, any hotels you would recommend to be of great quality?

Thank you in advance for your help. I figured this would be a decent place to find answers because you are all very knowledgeable and some of you are even Swiss

Re: Traveling to Switzerland this summer!!

As a starter it would take about 4 to 5 hours drive, some lovely towns on the shores of Como e.g. Bellagio.

I would take things a bit slower and go over St Gotthard pass if driving. Take time to see Lugano, Gandria, Bellinzona en route.

PM me if you want any more info other than that already on the site as I do this journey often.
