Any one here gone to Campione d'Italia to the big casino. I find this part of Ticino very interesting as it is in Ticino, Switzerland and part of Italy.

What games to they have to play, am going in a few weeks and wanted to see if anyone had any insider knowledge of the Casino or Campione d'Italia itself.

The agent tell me it a tax haven, but I am reading you have to pay taxes anyways. Any help or knowledge is appreciated.

It's not part of Ticino, it's an Italian exclave. It has some interesting history and is a pain to get to.

How much are you worth? How are your skiilz?

I don't want to risk more than 5000CHF, I am okay I know there is one road to get in or go to Lugano and take the ferry. Can play 21 good, we'll leave it at that. Do they have blackjack??

They have everything you need.

Given your amount, why seek Campione when you could do Lugano or Monte Carlo instead...?

I could not get Google to spit out directions from La Jolla, San Diego, CA, United States.

There's also a Casino' in Mendrisio as well.

Plenty of Casinos around Ticino, though.

P.S. Casino (without the accent on the o) means 'brothel'!

Ps unless you have supper acute hearing capabilities to hear the different stresses of words, Casino also means a "mess" (literal) and "a bit of a pickle" e.g. Fare un casino= make a mess, mettere qualcuno nei casini= drop somebody in it.

Same in French and English.
