You can also the get additional discounts with that railaway would give you. Ski lift tickets, for example, are discounted at various ski areas.

Re: (info) Double SBB Day passes from Migros

GA = Generalabonnement in German, Abonnement général in French: A month or year pass that grants the owner free use in most public transport lines of Switzerland.

Whole calendar day = 00:00-23:59

Re: (info) Double SBB Day passes from Migros

Just to clarify for the confused - whole calander day is as Nathu describes as opposed to a 24 hour ticket which can span 2 calendar days (eg, 1pm on Tue 15th until 12.59pm on Tue 16th)

Re: (info) Double SBB Day passes from Migros

I've read about this offer a few weeks back in Migros Newsletter - but wanted more info (ie which shops sell the ticket) and can't find it on migros.ch in German or French? I've also emailed M-infoline - no response for a day!

Its such a bargain - perhaps Migros don't want to sell too many!!!

Can you direct me to where I can get more info please?

It was directly linked from their homepage last week - but perhaps they're playing it down a little. Anyway, it's part of their 1 gratis promotion. A search for SBB on their site give the info (in German) here

Re: (info) Double SBB Day passes from Migros

I got mine from the customer info desk in the Migros in Oerlikon. A friend of mine got hers from the Migros in Zentrum Glatt (since Oerlikon had sold out last week - hopefully they will have more in by now).

I think you can basically go to any large Migros and get them from the Info Desk.

It is a bargain!

Re: (info) Double SBB Day passes from Migros

Many thanks for your replies.

I've now had a good reply from M-infoline about it.

My problem is that Migros shops they listed arent near us - but I'll take copy of net info to ours and see (french as yet isn't my strongest suit!).

A cheap day out in Zermatt is worth a bit of trouble.

Re: (info) Double SBB Day passes from Migros

You can check if this website offers day tickets for unlimited travel, for Lugano, or for other people, the commune where they live.

http://www.tageskarte-gemeinde.ch/

Usually they are between 20 CHF - 35 CHF per card. It is like a GA for the day, sponsored by your commune, and you do not need a halbtax. Usually however you need to order weeks in advance. You may need to search google if you live in Ticino or the French speaking part, as the site will not be called Tageskarte..., but a translated version...

Anyone know the translation for accessing the French site?

Don't all travelling parties need to have a valid Halbtax?
