Hi

Looking for a hotel (around 3*) to go skiing in March - with my dad who's a very experienced skiier.

Can anyone recommend either a hotel or a website to search for availability for any of the Zurich-region resorts? We were thinking of Davos, Klosters, St Mortiz, Engelberg, anywhere else within 3 hours of Zurich with some challenges or long runs for him.

If you are planning on going skiing around Easter, you should try and book your accommodation asap.

We have been trying to find accommodation in Davos and Klosters, and 99% of places are already booked out, and it appears that those few places with availability have hiked up their rates considerably because of the demand ...

I usually go to the website of the place I am going(eg www.davos.ch ) . Look for hotels there.

I then pick a few hotels I like and call them directly rather then booking through the site, sometimes you can get a better deal by doing this, and if it is more expensive then quoted on the internet just tell them that you say a different price on the internet. They will usually honour it.

So far this method has gotten me a roof over my head whenever/wherever I want!

Hi,

Can anyone give recommendations based on personal experience for Davos? I will make my first trip there to Jakobshorn and looking for something that is convenient to the skiing. We will also be looking for some fun apres ski so don't want to be too far away from the fun...

The price is not so important - we don't need top luxury but not on budget either.

Plenty of things to do, sports and fun.

I'd recommand hotel Ochsen, excellent value for the money, well situated.

I have found some good deals for hotels at Swiss ski resorts through that site.
