Re: Flumserberg to hang out?

The few times that I have been up to the ski areas as a non-skier I found it crowded and somewhat intimidating. I found Säntis to be much better for a winter visit

"Wie man in den Wald hinein ruft, so schallt es heraus"

Literally: How you call into the forest, the same it sounds back.

Better translated: what one shouts into the woods, that is what will echo back.

Background: In some moutain valleys you can sometimes experience echoes. In earlier days, those valleys ususally were covered by forest.

Meaning: the way you treat others is how others will treat you.

Meaning adopted to lost_inbroad: Do not expect to get friendly service, if you do not use to be friendly by yourself and you are used to bring along cut and dried opinions by yourself - even if you percieve yourself differently, but this would be another fault we would have to talk about
I suggest you take your condescending advice and keep it to yourself. You don't know me.

Since when is that a valid reason to not post condescending comments on EF? If we only took the piss out of people we knew 90% of the postings here would disappear

Re: Flumserberg to hang out?

Just wanted to give an update in case others were looking for the same sort of thing - we've now been up to Stoos twice and it is exactly what I was looking for. Beautiful views, easy to get to, non-skier friendly, runs come down right to a little restaurant. Perfect! Thanks!
