Lake Geneva trip advice please!

I am looking to do a few days away at Lake Geneva early next month, I'm wondering the best place to go/stay?

Would like quiet town, with hotels that aren't too expensive (in Swiss terms).

We are going there to do some water type sports, so want somewhere good for swimming and where we are able to rent paddle boards etc.

Any tips??

And, on the Western side, I would suggest Saint-Sulpice, Preverenges, Morges, & Rolle. Finding a not-so-expensive hotel would be the challenge. Alternatively, you could stay in Evian - there are numerous ferries to the Swiss side of the lake.
