Does GA Card cover the Madonna del Sasso funicular?

Hi guys,

Does anyone know if a GA card, or Tageskarte covers the cost of the Funicular that goes up from Locarno to Madonna del Sasso? Or is there an additional cost?

Thanks

Yes MdS is covered.

Re: Does GA Card cover the Madonna del Sasso funicular?

Contrary to what was posted earlier, the GA card does NOT cover the transportation by funicular from Locarno to Orselina (Madonna del Sasso), at least that is what the attendant on duty explained to me today. Nor is there a disocunt with the Swiss Demi-Tarif Card. One-way fare: CHF 4.80, roundtrip: CHF 7.20. However, one can walk up for free in less than 20 minutes using a beautifully prepared trail.
