I am new to this beautiful country. Have just settled in and i live in Zurich. Have not started exploring the country but proposing to travel a lot. My first wedding anniversary is coming soon and i am planning a weeks vacation.

Am really confused about where to go . The south is a very attractive option but any suggestions are really welcome. Am not looking at sight seeing kind of places but some place really beautiful and peaceful where we can get pampered and have an unforgettable first anniversary

A friend went to Interlaken and had an affordable yet pleasurable couple's spa experience. I don't have the details but you should do a search for it on the Internet.

Another friend says the train ride between Lucerne and Interlaken is beautiful if the weather is good.

(By the way, the couple's spa at Asia Spa, Sihlcity, is not worth the expense even though the environment and staff are nice. If you want to go there, just opt for a regular massage which is much more affordable and of longer duration.)

The Park Hotel Weggis is beautiful - we were invited there for a wedding some time ago and the hotel is really dreamy. Directly on the Lake near Lucerne, very romantic, beautifuly scenery, everything you could want for a 1st anniversary! Website's in English too!
