Como questions...

Hi

We have just moved to Zug with our 2 young kids and are looking for "child friendly" hotel/b&b somewhere in Como. Would be nice to have maybe a pool but not a must. Just a place we could also hang around if kids are having a bad day...

We could stay 2-4 nights.

Another question, if we drive there for a weekend is the traffic really crazy? How to avoid it? My baby hates sitting in a car... But it would be great to see Como anyway...

Well if you have any tips I would be really grateful. And if these questions are many times answered, please just help me to find the discussions.

Re: Como questions...

a) Take the train.

b) Avoid holidays.

c) I've never spent more than a couple hours in Como before getting bored.

Re: Como questions...

Hey!
I stayed here a few years ago whilst visiting Lake Como..... http://www.oasideicelti.com

I seem to remember it had a few critical trip advisor reviews, but I thought it was great for the price, and if you have a car its easy to get to. It seemed to be pretty family friendly as well.

Good location for exploring the lake, not to close to Como Town either, which isn't a bad thing.....

Re: Como questions...

Como is 5 minutes past Chiasso on the train and you can walk anywhere downtown from there.

I have friends with kids who recommend this place:

Albergo Del Duca
Piazza Giuseppe Mazzini, 12
22100 Como CO
Italy

There are lots of child-friendly places in Como and some parks. My boy likes this park but there is one also on lungolago.
