Getting Married in Italy - Problems bringing a speaker there and back?

Hi all,

For our upcoming wedding in Italy we were thinking of bringing a big B&O speaker with us for one of the days.

Given it is 2.500 CHF retail price, i just wanted to make sure we will have no toll problems bringing it there and back again. Principally I am doing no import/export, but you never know...

Anyone have experience with that? We are of course also bringing rings etc. with us which I guess would be the same topic, except not as obvious when driving across the border.

Thank you in advance,
Stigsby

PS. Were unsure where best it would fit under the forum, so here goes...

If you still have the receipt/warranty with proof that you purchased the items here (or elsewhere), I'd say take copies of said documents with you and show them on the way out of CH and on the return journey, if asked. Make sure that, if the documents are taken in for inspection on the way out of CH, that you have copies to use on the return journey - so make 2 copies of the documents.

Happy wedding!

Thank you for the quick reply.

Only issue I have is that it is bought in Denmark, with a Danish receipt and simply imported when we moved here. That means I have no proof that toll etc. is covered for CH.

Hope the Danish receipt will be enough!

Declare it as a temporary export.

Of course - after relocating here from, say, UK and bringing things over from there, I doubt people would throw the UK stuff away and buy everything new here just to be able to export it - just declare it properly and fully when entering CH. Do as Tom says and declare the stuff with the Danish receipts.
