Q about the Urmiberg - Brunnen Luftseilbahn

Hi all,

I'm doing a hike with some friends tomorrow on a route over Rigi.

Our journey down begins with the Luftseilbahn from Urmiberg to Brunnen. Does anyone know if the Tageskarte zum Halbtax covers this?

The site doesnt mention anything about it.

http://urmiberg.ch/luftseilbahn/fahrpreise

Regards
Kash.

Re: Q about the Urmiberg - Brunnen Luftseilbahn

Hey, Kash_Z!

I was searching some info on Urmiberg, but the prices are not available yet (as the season starts this Saturday). What was the cost of the journey?

Is there any hiking path worth mentioning from there?

Thank you in advance!

Cris

Longbyt, thank you for the info! Looks like a nice hike, let's see if the weather allows us to do so.

Re: Q about the Urmiberg - Brunnen Luftseilbahn

The info is a bit old of course, but it gives you an idea of what it was like when we went.
One thing I rememebr clearly is that the guy collecting money at the top was not happy at all when 'groups' insisted on sitting together in the 'cable-car' and thus left empty places in the previous one!

Have fun! Check out the snow-line. The forecast said it could snow above about 800m

Longbyt, we finally went to Rigi, which was stunning too. Also, the Tageskarte includes the train down/up, so it is very convenient if you don't want to spend extra money.
