ViaMala, Graubunden - anyone been on a day trip

Hi

We are thinking about a day trip to Viamala. We would travel by car from Thurgau via Chur.

No idea where to park, no doubt will find out once there.

We would like to see some pretty sights, but read something about 321 steps and do not think that would be for me, if could be avoided.

If anyone has been there and could give insight for a couple of adults, thanks.

The Teufelsbrücke is worth seeing. Yes, there are a lot of steps, but also benches placed so you can take a breather. There is some parking there. Not sure I would make the trip just for that though.

Thanks, that is a relief, it was not just the walking down but the up, I could not imagine.

I am not sure what is there, was told it is a very beautiful area.

A bit confused with various tours and no idea if any in English, but German would be passibly if anyone has been on one. Would not mind parking somewhere else if a local bus tour was included.

The Viamala and the Teufelsbrucke are not even close, nor in the same canton!

I went to Viamala five years ago. I took the train to Thusis and then the Postbus. There is some parking space there.

The best idea is to walk down the steps and along the gorge then walk back up in stages looking at the views as you go. There are plenty of stopping points on the steps. The steps through the tunnel are the longest flight as I recall.

Ups, I meant the Schlucht. Can't even blame autocorrect.
