Lufthansa airlines with toddler

Attention to parents of toddlers,

Have any of you traveled with Lufthansa Airlines from Frankfurt - internationally ? more specifically, to India?

Planning a vacation soon, and wanted to know the experience of travel with a toddler .

Not done that trip but have flown often with a baby and then a toddler, alone.

Honestly,it's exhausting and you'll need lots of snacks and entertainment. I imagine Lufthansa ground staff will generally be a lot more helpful to a lone parent traveller than say a specific budget airline who.... aren't. The flight crew have always been fabulous though.

See if your airline has an assistance option and if there is a fellow traveller in a wheelchair, when you get off, ask if you can go with that little convoy through the destination airport as they use lifts and shortcuts. You will probably then get help hauling luggage and pushchair off the carousel.

Good luck!

Re: Lufthansa airlines with toddler

I once travelled India to Frankfurt and back by LH without any kid. During flight, crew did not bother to wake me up for food however I put sticker to wake me up. Flight was delayed and they missed the alloted slot. At frankfurt airport pilot had to wait more than 1 hour to get next free slot . Frankfurt airport is so big that I had to walk miles to get luggage and then another miles to reach railway station.

Once my friend travelled India to Frankfurt and back by LH with family including a toddler. Same story flight was late and they had short time left for connecting flight. They had to walk[run] miles to catch connecting flight to Zurich.

Re: Lufthansa airlines with toddler

We traveled with Lufthansa Airlines from Frankfurt internationally, to the U.S. west coast (10+ hours) with a 1 year old and had a very positive experience. All our flight attendants were extremely kind and accommodating to our needs. We didn't have any problems on our flight and in fact Lufthansa service stood out to us as exceptional. We flew to the same destination on a different airline this summer, and in contrast the service was inferior compared to what we experienced with Lufthansa.
