I am planning a day trip this weekend from Zurich, but having trouble deciding where to go. There are so many choices! What is your favorite place in Switzerland which you have visited? Are there any sights that I MUST SEE before I leave this beautiful country? Thanks for any help/advice.

Go up Rigi..the view from the top on a clear day are simply stunning

Rigi is very nice especially if you get a boat from Luzern to Weggis, the get the cable car, then the train to the top - I also found walking down towards Arth Goldau was a great way to come down.

Titlis and Engelberg is also a nice day trip but there are generally a lot of tourists there...

So far we have been to Bern, Lucerne, Sierre, Sion, Lugano, Rapperswil, and Appenzel. We will travel anywhere in Switz. for the day.

you must go to Lausanne then and take the boat across to Evian and back that is nice day out.
