Autumn weekend trip ideas (brainstorm)

Hello,
Could anyone suggest interesting places to visit in Switzerland (Geneva / Vaud / Vallais / Fribourg) or France (Rhône-Alpes) during not-so-nice autumn weekends?
Type of trip: hiking, sightseeing, local food-tasting, etc.

Here are few places I have already seen or plan to see(maybe will be of use to someone):
- Genève area (CERN, UN, Botanical Garden, Old City, La Saleve, Le Reculet, Satigny vignobles)
- Lausanne (Old City)
- Monterux (Château de Chillon, Freddy monument, haven't been to Roche de Naye yet)
- Annecy (Cathedral, old town, lakeside)
- Romainmôtier
- Yverdon-Les-Bains (and Sainte-Croix)
- Barrage de la Grande-Dixence
- Lac d'Emosson
- Col du Grand-Saint-Bernard
- Furka Pass

- Gruyères - plan to see
- Yvoire - plan to see

Re: Autumn weekend trip ideas (brainstorm)

There's plenty of info on the forum already. Example:

Geneva: places to see in geneva

Lausanne Hikes: http://www.englishforum.ch/travel-da...-lausanne.html

Thermal Spas in French part of Switzerland: Thermal spas in Suisse Romande

And more:
Vineyards in Switzerland/France
Montreux to Chur via Valais
daytour to lac de Tanay
Vevey any tips?
Wine Tasting
Advice on vineyard hikes in GE, VD and VS
Castles and vineyards NE/VD
neolithic/stonehenge-like ruins in Switzerland?
What to do on a rainy day in Lausanne/Vevey???
Day Trips in the Lausanne/Lac Leman region

And all this was from a search for "Valais" on just two pages. Haven't tried any of the other places you were after ...

Thanks, somehow I find searching for tourism information pretty annoying and not that fruitful.
