Smitty's bump of the Bremgarten Christmas market has reminded me to post about the one in Rapperswil. 180 stalls (including us) will be spread around the old town. We'll be specialising in Scottish fair (but will also have Stilton gift packs and mince pies and xmas puds) and will be serving Hot Toddies to drink on the day - that took some explaining to the organisers - no, it is not Glühweine!

I've not been to this one before but have been told it is well worth it.

Haven't been to Rapperswil for a while, might be worth it for the day out. If the wife and I do go we'll be sure to find you and say hello (and more than likely buy some cheese)!

I won't be there Friday and I'll be there only briefly first thing Saturday but I will be there all day Sunday, otherwise say hello to the Misses!

Just come back from setting up this morning and the whole town looks really nice. It's just kicked off and you'll find us in the Hauptplatz, near the steps that lead up to the castle. As well as cheese and Hot Toddies, we've got a few boxes of Burts Crisps and proper Fudge from the Lake District including Chocolate Chilli!

It always makes me chuckle, my mate in Scotland is called Todd and he rather likes his ladies on the "Rubenesque" scale - or even well over it, and he calls any girl that fits the bill a "Hot Toddy"

was there today , it is excellent...mike, thanks to astrid, she made a wonderful welsh rarebit (swiss style!)
everyone i would recommend going down tomorrow.or sunday. It is less hectic than HB, and it is outdoors , there are plenty of good gift ideas and of course GLUHWEIN! (aside fm the hot toddy...)

I really recommend going there, the atmosphere was lovely, snowing all afternoon.. And Rappi itself is gorgeous.. I can recommend the yummi &fresh waffles by the lakeshore, and of course the cheese tasting everywhere.. bought an Orange Fudge pack at the Cheeseclub.. and will def. try to come again!! Danks!

Rapperswil is one of my favorite towns - even more so during the Christmas season. Definitely worth a visit.

Mike - Eliz and I stopped by and said hello to Astrid. Also stocked up on our usual Shropshire Blue and some Leicester...yum.

Would recommend the Rappi Christmas market to anyone. Beautiful little town and lots of good food and drink...and cheese!
