Re: jungfrau day

My friends are flying out on Saturday, so tomorrow is our only possibility. I don't want to have them spend CHF150 if there is some way to know at 6am that (a) the jungfraubahn is not in service, or (b) little or no possibility of getting a good view at the top. Sounds like tomorrow is a crapshoot at this point so will probably give it a try... will go skiing if it's not in service.

Looks like you had some decent weather today and some good views. I was up on the Titlis and could see the Bernese Oberland pretty clearly. I still haven't made it up there yet but need to make the effort soon.

Saw a good movie the other night about climbing the Eiger based on Joe Simpson's book, "The Beckoning Silence". The German title of the movie is "Drama in der Eiger Nordwand" (not sure of the English title). Documentary about a climbing team in 1936 attempting to make the first ascent of the North Face of the Eiger. Worth watching.
