Camping in Grindelwald

Hi, i will be visiting the Berner Oberland and camping in Grindelwald for the first 2 weeks in September. I stayed there whilst passing through on route to Italy for 3 days a few years back and wanted to return to explore the area.

We stayed at a campsite called Aspen which was part of a hotel with the same name in front of the Eiger, on a shelf overlooking Grindelwald. Would anybody have any info on this campsite as i have struggled to find it anywhere?

Also, would any have any tips on travelling in the area i.e. excursions etc

Thanks in advance.

Re: Camping in Grindelwald

Hi there.
Maybe this place is the one you are looking for.
I just Googled 'Aspen Grindelwald Camping'!
Someone will probably come up with more suggestions but we just enjoyed walking in the area. The glaciers are very impressive, though rapidly shrinking! The Glacier Gorge is worth a visit too.
Grindelwald's Homepage will give you more Infos about it.
And this site covers the whole Bernese Oberland
Enjoy planning the trip!

Re: Camping in Grindelwald

It's me again - you were lucky that I was awake enough to look up the appropriate links, but not awake enough to notice that your question doesn't really belong on this Forum at all.
The Forum is for English speaking folk who are either living here in Switzerland, or planning to do so! It looks as if you are really looking for a Travel Agent.
However, now that you perhaps have some of the information you wanted, let's just hope none of our hard-working Moderators sees your post and deletes it before you have had time to make note of the links.
