Matterhorn Glacier Paradise

Has anyone been up to the new developments at Klein Matterhorn? The previous facilities were pretty basic.

Looking at the Zermatt website, they seem to have done a pretty amazing job in such difficult conditions.

I suppose that there will be those who think that such easy access to mountain peaks destroys the remote feel of them. For others, the chance to access areas that would otherwise be impossible is a great thrill. I tend towards the latter, but hope that this doesn't end up as commercial as Jungfraujoch.

Weather conditions at the work site (3,820 metres above sea level) in high mountain terrain were extreme: temperatures falling to minus 40°C, snowfalls, and high winds of over 100km/h.
Definitely 'Brass Monkey' weather
