In this year is celebrated the above mentioned event, in Switzerland there are many activities celebrating it, there is even a website describing the events by every canton or date:

There will be in August a "Star Party" (an event to see the objects of the sky, with telescopes etc) :

All these events are good opportunities to get started in Astronomy and to know other people who share this same hobby.

Hello, I'm new here and also interested in Astronomy. I might be going to the star party in Kärnten Austria 17-20 Sept., but would also be interested in any of the less well known meetups in Switzerland, particularly anything in the north East of the country.
