Friedrichshafen International Air Fair

The bi-yearly show is taking place at Friedrichshafen this weekend, which is just over the German border on the opposite side of lake Konstanz (Bodensee). It should be a good day out for anyone interested in aircraft or Zeppelin, particularly microplanes and general aviation.

From Zürich You can either go through Konstanz and across the lake on the ferry (through Meerburg, see wine thread) and drive to Freidrichshafen; or you can drive via Romanhorn and take the ferry from there. It will take you about 1:35 to get there.

It's do-able on the train and bus via Romanshorn too.

Re: Friedrichshafen International Air Fair

Thanks Dave - I got the ferry from Meerburg last week and saw the Zeppelin factory - I've always been fascinated by airships. I would have loved to have gone but have to be in UK
