Re: Jucker Farm - kurbis/pumpkins

Hi
Does anyone know if the pumpkins are still on display. I have my parents here and thought it might make a nice trip out with the children. I looked on the web site but could not see any dates on it.
Thanks

They should be. The annual pumpkin "bashing" takes place on 1st November this year. There's a Halloween event on 25th October 2009.

Here's the link to that part of the programme "Jahresprogramme"

Re: Jucker Farm - kurbis/pumpkins

Those of you that have been before, is it possible to walk from the train station, Aathal? We don't have a car and the SBB says it's about a 26 min walk is it a decent path or road one could take or hilly and a car would be best. (We would be pushing a buggy too)

Thanks for any info!

There is a transfer service from Aathal to Jucker.
http://www.juckerfarmart.ch/index.ph...ransferservice
Otherwise you could also walk from Aathal.

Hi

I've walked from the station once. You have got to cross to the opposite side of the road, there is a underground pass that will lead you there. Once there, you have to climb up a very steep hill right to the top.

After the seemingly endless climb, you will see some residences & from there, you'll be able to find your way to the farm. (may need to ask for the direction cos I can't remember the turns but it is fairly easy after the steep climb.)

Have lots fun...with the slope. :P

Yes - strawberry picking - cherry picking. Even if there's nothing to pick, it's a great day out.
