British Airways - who will buy them out once they go bust?

So, let's get the book open on this one (we can spin it off to a separate
thread once the strikes really start to push them over the edge).

Who's going to end up owning Baiberia once it all goes pear-shaped?

There would be a certain irony if it was Ryanair or Easyjet.

So you'd prefer all the BA staff to be laid off, then?
You know exactly what I mean, so stop being smart because I have met you and actually found you quite a nice person!
And I have to go to work now!

walsh is a man with a plan, so maybe he'll end up owning it, minus most of the uk staff

Re: British Airways - cabin crew may strike over the holidays

BA Cabin crew must be questioning the competence of their union following this second high court defeat

BA wins High Court ban on cabin crew strikes

British Airways has won a High Court injunction to stop the latest strikes by its cabin staff. The decision was based on a technicality and whether Unite followed rules in contacting its members with strike result details.
The first of four five-day walkouts had been due to begin at midnight, but will not go ahead following Mr Justice McCombe's decision.
The union had previously said it would appeal if BA was successful in court.

like everyone else they have a choice, if ba pay and conditions are that bad they can join another airline. Of course they wont because the pay and conditions are worse elsewhere, and no one is hiring.
If BA's pay is so good then they can fire their striking workers and hire people would will sell their grandmothers to work for such an amazing and fantastically wonderful airline which is obviously run by wonderful people who are only interested in the happiness and comfort of their customers and their workers.

Or is this just a fairy story? Probably.

Well, were are all of these people who want to work for BA? I don't see a queue.

BTW, BA crew get paid a whole less than 30K per year. And that includes bonuses and perks. Virgin crews get paid half of that.

I still don't understand why people hate Unions. Most of what most of us have is at least indirectly attributable to Unions.
