Geneva Auto-Show

Hello,

I will visit Geneva Auto-Show in march. And I am planing to come to Geneva at 13th march 2010.

I need support how to go from Geneva train station to Geneva Auto-Show? What is the best way to go there? How many kilometres? And how long does it take by taxi ? Or is there any train or tram connection?

Thank you for the support & feedback

You take the train all the way to the Geneva airport. The car show is at walking distance from the GVA-airport train station.

Re: Geneva Auto-Show

Buy the combo ticket from any railway station. As soon as you reach geneva railway station, there will be placards pointing you to the bus that you need to take. Hop on it and within 10 min, you will reach your destination

Re: Geneva Auto-Show

Dear all,

Thank you for your helpful advices and support.

Sorry for my next questions. What is the meaning of combo ticket? Does it mean the ticket to be used for only bus ?

One more question : I wil come to Geneva from Basel by train. What is the best thing to do, to eat in Geneva? I am planing to return Basel. But if there is good things to do or good places for fun I may stay in Geneva. What can you advice to me for this ?

Thanks.

Combo as in "combination": a ticket for public transport to/from the show as well as the entrance fee.

There isn't much by the car show. You can go to the airport or take the train to the main Geneva railway station which is fairly central. I wouldn't say Geneva is a fun place.
You could also consider going to Montreux which is a neat town and not that far from Geneva. The Chillon castle is certainly worth visiting.
