( the warning sirens are going just now in Geneva ) | | | | | They were going off here in St. Prex at about the same time.
I have never noticed them before. Test?
Just started up again.

hahahah! here in lausanne too! strange.
god, i wonder where my husband went? (he's french!)
he said he was getting his driver license sorted out
seriously, i would also recommend the museum of l'art brut in lausanne. very cool and worth a trip. if you are here on sunday (lausanne) and looking for a yummy brunch, try the cafe de grancy. great brunch and atmosphere is pretty nice.
enjoy!
*and count us in on the tank/bbq/goat thing. that sounds like a good time!

There's also lots of Toblerone tank-stoppers up in the Jura. Does anyone know if there is a map showing all the sections of Toblerone?

Chris
I think Swiss ordonance maps show toblerones if I remember well. Had a project in Gland where we had to displace it. It only took a little nudge from a D-9 Catepillar dozer to move one.
C U tomorrow evening

Tiny | | | | | If you can move them that easily with a D-9 then what good would they have been against tanks? Or are tanks of that era wussy compared with a modern earth mover?
What's tomorrow evening?
Brian.

I've lived in the Nyon area for the past 30 years, but I have never seen any toblerones!

The fairy tale gothic castle of Vufflens-le-Chateau is quite interesting. It is close to Morges. |

But it is privately owned. I don't think that you can go/get in.
It is very pretty.

Brian. | | | | | True. Michael Schumacher lives nearby. You can meet him if you are lucky.

Schumi lives right next door to me. His gate is at the entrance of the Golf Residence where I live.
Our residence has a small cottage with BBQ facilities for rent. There's a big parking area near by and it's sort of situated behind Schumi's house.
It's a few minutes walk from the bunkers and Toblerone, has electricity and costs pittances to rent. It's surrounded by a lovely forest and it could be a real nice place to organize a BBQ (I can reserve it).
It had enough benches/seats/space for 20 families
How about it?

I think that I've been to that spot before. And yes, it is lovely. And yes it is a good place for a BBQ. But, as I said, we also have a little plot of land in Vich (5 or 6 acres) that is right next to the trail on which the toblerones run. It's where we have our mini organic farm with goats, donkeys, chickens and a little cottage that we use for bbqs and such. Also a lovely setting and...well, free cause it's ours.
Of course, Shumi isn't close by....so it is as you like.
We will definitely organize something at our spot once the weather turns. We're currently in the process of building an outdoor movie system....so perhaps that will be a good thing to do for EFers.
Cheers,
Rebecca
