Public parks in Switzerland

I'm looking for a webpage that lists the public parks around Switzerland. Particularly those suited for picnicing.
Thanks

Re: Public parks in Switzerland

Hi Yupnya,
Thanks for your post.
Do you have any idea where the Park/Garden: Wenkenpark is?
Have been in Lange Erlen and in the Botanical, both referred on the link about Basel parks but I have no idea where Wenkenpark is.

Re: Public parks in Switzerland

just deleted everything
nehoo it's ok! I assume you mean Wenkenhof......in Riehen?
if so here is a link......for more info or a nice piece about it follow the Wiki link!! and as it is in German maybe just translate using google if you need to!

http://www.qype.co.uk/place/417848-W...nkenhof-Riehen

Also I have been to the Botanical garden in Zurich!! I was bore done day decided to check it out and was very impressed!! kept me amused for a few hours and would definitely return again!
here is a link for that too:

have to say though my favourite thing of all time to do in Basel is still visit the zoo!! those damn Elephants have me hooked!! in summer love just going watching them take a bath (if I have time )

so funny after a while you realise it's a good idea to stand back but there will always be people right up the front who get soaked by elephant bath water mixed with pee and poop :P

hope this helps
