hi,

you need a so called "Angelfischerpatent". with this you are allowed to go fishing in different areas in the canton of Berne.

I have fly fished parts of the Aare for trout and char, beautiful river!
You can by day, week, month and year tickets for kanton Bern which allows you to fish quite a lot of rivers and lakes.

Great value if you live in kanton Bern, unfortunately I don't so I have to cough up double!!!!!!! I still think it's well worth the money for a year. I also belong to a club which gives me access to other waters as well.
