Thermal spa in Scuol

We've just returned from the spa in Scuol, which was great.

Studying the flyer, we saw that besides the normal bath, which is quite awesome by itself, they also offer various more pricey things, starting with the "Irisch - Römisches Bad" plus various massages etc.

Does anybody have any experinece with any of these. Are they worth the price?

My GF has been hinting it might be a good birthday gift and in principle I don't see why not (although I can think of many other good things that money can buy). So I'm asking here to know what to expect and to avoid any disappointments.

Isn't the Irisch-Römisch bath nude-only? If you're not a prude, go for it.

I've been many times to the "Roman-Irish" in Scuol and like it very much.

You receive a toga to wear, but will be without it in the different stations they have. Basically you go through a specific course of the hot and cold variety - sans toga.

As you book your private time there, they can make sure that the place is not over crowded. If you sensitively choose your time you will be all by yourselves.

Done the Roman Irish bath in the main, most popular spa in Scuol. It was terrific. One of the best in CH. The final stage after quick massage is where you lay in lounges rapped in warm towels with huge ceiling to floor glass windows looking only at magestic moutains. Absolutely incredible ... nothing like it.

Re: Thermal spa in Scuol

I had the honour of doing this when on my own for a weekend in Scuol.

The experience was great - very relaxing, especially at the end when they wrap you up in warm blankets and you can have a snooze......BUT.......
as I was alone and sans partner, they "paired me up" with an old chappie, complete with beer belly and chest rug........
Luckily for me, he was very polite and didn't stare at my naked body - though I did catch him sneaking a look on a few occasions.......tee hee.
