Need ideas for big, special birthday party

A family member is turning 50 and they want to organize something special.
She's very into cultural stuff and loves doing something a little different.
I know from where I'm from that nowadays they have a lot of companies that organize events for big groups, like for team building. They range from survivals to murder mysteries and anything inbetween.
Does anyone know of anything similar in or around Zurich?
Thanks in advance

Ideas off the top of my head:

group party at Blindekuh restaurant in Zurich (done this, great fun)

parties at juckerfarm near griefensee, where they put on farm competitions (done this, great fun, all ages)

do a search or look at brochure for "team events" on myswitzerland.com

apero and private party in one of the animal areas at ZH zoo.ch or dinner at the private restaurant overlooking masoala hall (done both of these, great fun)

private group party in secret bunker of historical pinball machines (done this, great for surprise, everyone loves it, not too expensive, great Zurich secret)

Lightheard BoccioBall lesson, tournament, food afterwards in BoccioDromo in Altstetten next to Letzigrund stadium (fun, easy, all ages, good instructors, fun to try, above italian restaurant with plenty of room to host parties)

sushi cooking course (done this, does great job)

other cooking courses: (done this, does great job)

Get group Square dancing at party:

have party in huts in forest:
http://www.zueriwald.ch/Thuetten.htm

community centers to hold parties

rent an exotic car:

Boat party on Lake Zurich

Curling lesson, fondue dinner, drinks afterward at Dolder IceRink on Zuriberg (done this, easy, great fun)

attempt at bodyflying at center in direction of ZH airport

P.S. If you liked my email can you push the "thanks" button so I build up some brownie points?

Re: Need ideas for big, special birthday party

Thanks a lot for that list.
Boy, you have done a lot.
Just to add, we're looking for something not so much food related, or where you can bring your own catering and there is going to be a relatively big group. Also, it can be something a little classy, but still fun.

Did you just whore for Thanks? That's like asking for more cocaine at a private party at, say, Lenzburg castle. Nice post, though.

This wording feels a little harsh to me and not in the spirit of the forum.

Giving that long post, complete with details, takes time and work on a Sunday afternoon. I feel it isn't unreasonable to simply ask occasionally to get a little credit for good meaty contributions to the group that take up my free time.

I wish we had somebody like you in Basel to give us all those useful informations, as right now i am confronting myself with similar problem of organizing something nice for a friend...

P.S. Don't pay attention to some people on EF!

Hmm, you're telling me about the spirit of the Forum?

It's not done to ask for praise, no matter how good the post.

I have a friend who is a helicopter pilot, he can take a small group anywhere. For example, you can celebrate on a mountain or a glacier.

I suspect you are a guy.

Women can't help to have an innate aversion to being refered to as "Whoring Themselves", whatever the context.

I would think english speaking women could provide terrific posts for EF.

Often they have the information other expats are looking for. Often they are the trailing spouse that has to get things done in Switzerland and learn how things work from the expat perspective while the husbands are emersed in stressful work.

It'd be nicer for women to be corrected without being told they "whored themselves".
