Daniel, you aren't going to get much help with such an unspecific question. Shorrick's point is quite valid and I would add helicopter pick-up from Samedan to hotel/and or private limo.

But I'm guessing that your friend is trying to balance convenience with budget.

If so, I would say TGV followed by connections to St Moritz (usually can be done in two changes) if your friend has a day to spare.

If not, then flying to Zurich and train onwards.
