Re: What are you doing for Christmas?

I will be staying in sunny Malta for Christmas (currently 20 degrees). Hubby is arriving from Zurich with a friend on the 23rd and we are going straight from the airport to a party. Christmas Eve dinner will be spent at home, doing hubby's thing, probably followed by a visit to a few bars. On Christmas day we are joining 23 friends at the apartment of one of them for the full works, to which we will all contribute. This year, with Malta being the most social place that I ever lived, promises to be fun. Then my sister and her husband are arriving for the new year.

Re: What are you doing for Christmas?

for most of the past 14 years mrs. G and I ( even before she was mrs. G ) would go to our cottage in Cornwall to spend Christmas with her family.. mother , father, auntie ( and her brother and his family would also come down from London ) but one by one father, mother and auntie have slipped away and now Cornwall is just too far to travel ( and our beloved cottage is up for sale )

Last year we went to Rye, Sussex and had a marvelous time there, bro-in law came down for a visit and of course we met new friends and had a 'wee pint of ale or three.

that is booked for a repeat this year... with an after Christmas stop in Eastbourne to visit friends there and then on to Brighton for a little New Years do.
