that phone is a rebadged phone (can't remember the real model, google it ) and it can be easily unlocked from orange, supposed to be a really good phone, oled screen and GPS.
specs in english http://shop.orange.co.uk/mobile-phon...Search?sissr=1
eta
it’s actually a rebranded ZTE Blade

Yeah, thanks, I know, it's all pretty much in my links already.
What's interesting is that we actually get it cheaper than the UK, where it's a bargain already.

I can't see this on the orange.ch website* - has it just not been added yet, only available in stores, or am I missing something?
* I can see it in the phones-on-contract section, but not in the PAYG section.

While it will be an OK phone, this "network" is operated by Orange (much like M-Budget from Migros is Swisscom)

So I can put my existing Orange PAYG SIM card into it without any issues?

pretty sure you wont be able to as it'll be locked to ok (even though they share the same network) but unlocking this phone is simple and the howto is in one of the links on the first post |

I bought one of these on a whim about 2 weeks ago from the UK (Orange San Francisco on PAYG). Its a fantastic smartphone for the money and easy to unlock. I was thinking of selling it on here since I don't really need two phones (iPhone 4 and the Android), but if they're only going for CHF 100 I may as well keep it as a back up.

Bought one on Monday - thanks for the post, wouldn't know about this otherwise.
I think it's an absolute bargain - has Wifi, 3G, GPS, and Android. So far works quite well. The housing is cheap, but I don't expect to get an Iphone replacement for 100 CHF...

Thanks guys for the tip.
I say in theory because their delivery channel needs some work! I went out to get one today found a Kiosk that had one but when I asked for one (and handed over my FULLY completed application form and ID) the attendant looked at me with the kind of sour face I'd expect if I'd asked her for a perverse sexual favour and refused to sell me one today since it would take "zein minuten" and suggested I come back on "Montag". When pressed further she helpfully suggested "Morgen!"
There was no apology, no sympathy, just a dog ugly look and off I went having wasted a chunk of my time. |

Enter your Postleitzahl on the page above.
Make sure you go to a place that sells the actual phones. Some places only have the SIMs or neither.

In Geneva only the 3rd icon is a bit whiter. The one like a battery. What does it mean?

All kiosks seem to have sold out these handsets, I checked in about 5 different places (Zurich HB, Stadelhofen) yesterday - and all with the same story "they might be getting some more in this week".....

Wow, I don't get how here in CH these phones are only 100 chuffs... in the UK they are £100! Either way a fantastic phone for the money, i'll probably get one as a backup.

Unlocking these is a piece of cake, just enter the IMEI number into this link (make a note of your unlock code) and then do the following. - Remove battery
- Swap the OK SIM card for a different operator SIM
- Replace battery
- Turn on phone (If prompted, enter any PIN number that you may have set on the new SIM).
- Now you should be prompted to enter the unlock code. Do it carefully!
- You should now get some sort of message saying your phone is unlocked

Managed to find one at the Kiosk in the Glattzentrum at lunchtime today
Fantastic phone for the price... and I was seriously considering getting a HTC Desire HD, over 6 times the price (even though I didn't really need one).. so glad now I didn't
(not saying that this is anywhere near as good as the Desire - I've never even used one, so I don't know)
